Bachelor’s Degree courses typically take 3 to 4 years to complete. Students who excel academically may apply for a one-year course to achieve an honours degree. Australian universities generally operate on a two-semester academic year:
  • First semester: February to June

  • Second semester: July to November

There is a short holiday between semesters and a long holiday at the end of the year. New students usually join the March intake, while some may prefer the July intake.

To apply for a Bachelor’s Degree, applicants need qualifications such as STPM, A-Level, UEC, or any equivalent.

O-Level or SPM graduates can first apply for Australian Matriculation or Foundation Studies. Applicants must also submit English test results, such as IELTS or ELICOS certificates. For Bachelor’s Degrees, applicants typically need an IELTS band of 6.

What is the procedure for studying in Australia?

Step 1: Do research and find suitable colleges.

Step 2: Prepare to apply.

Obtain the application form from the respective university or college and prepare the required documents:

  3. English test results
Note: Start your application at least 6 months in advance.

Step 3: Submit the application.

Submit the relevant documents to the university or college. The application process typically takes 4 to 8 weeks.

Step 4: Receive your official offer letter.

Once accepted, you’ll receive an offer letter stating the documents you need to submit.

Step 5: Obtain your official CoE.

After submitting the necessary documents, you will receive an eCoE (Confirmation of Enrolment) via email.

Step 6: Pay tuition fees and insurance.

Once you have the eCoE, you’ll need to pay the first-time tuition fees and OSHC (Overseas Student Health Cover) insurance.

Step 7: Apply for a student visa.

Apply online using your eCoE. Education counsellors can help you prepare the necessary documents.
