The OHIO Admission Promise For Fall 2021

Here it is, seniors – that glimpse of certainty you’ve been looking for in the midst of… well, 2020. Because you’ve worked hard, powered through in high school, and proven that you’re prepared for the challenge and opportunity a college education offers, we’re making you this promise: If you earn a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average, you’re in—and we’ll help with the cost of college*.

Through the OHIO Admission Promise, qualifying fall 2021 applicants can receive automatic general University admission to the Athens campus.

And we’re taking that promise even further by offering, at minimum, a renewable $2,000 OHIO Admission Promise Award when you complete the FAFSA on time.



To Qualify For The OHIO Admission Promise:

  1. Submit your application by the extended deadline of January 15, 2021 (Application fee waived!).
  2. Send your high school transcript showing that you've earned a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average on a strong college prep curriculum.
  3. Enroll in fall 2021 as a full-time, first-year, degree-seeking student on the Athens campus.

And, to receive the OHIO Admission Promise Award when you enroll, simply complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and ensure your results are received by the priority deadline of January 15, 2021.

* Subject to eligibility requirements defined in FAQ. Cumulative weighted or unweighted GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale; OHIO will recalculate GPAs to 4.0 scale as needed.
