Location Map

Newcastle is well-known as a friendly and safe city situated in the North-East of England, about three hours north of London by train. The city has a population of around 300,200 and is consistently voted as one of the best UK cities for student life. This is partly due to the city’s compactness, which makes it large enough to be vibrant and exciting, while small enough to feel like home. It’s also due to the sheer number of students: one in every six people in the city is a student. And with one of the lowest costs of living in the UK, you can be sure that you’re getting a world class education and affordable location.

Just outside of our vibrant city, students can also benefit from our beautiful coastal towns of Tynemouth, Cullercoats and Whitley Bay, all with cafes, bars, and restaurants, just a 20-minute metro ride away from our City Centre Campus location.

Not only are we within easy reach of the Northern Coastline, but we’re also only a short drive away from the calming countryside with lots to be explored including, Hadrian’s Wall, many walking trails and forests and the Northumberland National Park, which is home to the largest expanse of dark night sky in Europe. Northumberland is also home to more castles than any other English county, a legacy from its historic past. From the Newcastle Castle in the city centre to Alnwick Castle, most famously known as Hogwarts Castle in the Harry Potter films. All of which makes Northumbria a truly great choice for students.
